District 12 Large Instrumental Ensemble Music Performance Assessments

March 17th – Phoenixville HS

March 27th – Octorara HS

March 31st – West Chester Rustin HS

The D12 Large Instrumental Ensemble MPAs are open to directors from District 11 or 12 who wish to bring their Concert Band, String Orchestra, or Full Orchestra. There are two adjudication options this year. The “Traditional” MPA uses a selective music list and requires sight reading. The “Festival” MPA allows you to choose the music selections and gives one of three options to have sight reading, a mini clinic or nothing at the end. We are excited to have a stellar lineup of adjudicators from some of the top colleges and universities in the area that will provide positive feedback to your ensembles.

Here are some information links to help you get started:

This is the selective music list that is used to choose two music selections for the Traditional Adjudication:

Region VI Choral Music Performance Assessment

March 25th – Immaculata University

The PMEA Region VI Choral Music Performance Assessment will be held at Immaculata University. The purpose of the assessment is to provide opportunities for choruses to perform for their peers in a formal concert setting and to receive an evaluation of their performance by noted experts in the field of choral performance. The MPAs also provide an opportunity for students and directors to hear performances of their peers and learn from hearing those performances.
